Bletchingley United Charities is constituted by a scheme of the Charity Commissioners and is registered under Charity No 236747.  The Charity consists of the following:

1. The Charity of William Evans;
2. The Charity of William Hampton;
3. The Charity known as the Site of the Old Almshouses;
4. The Charity consisting of the share of the Charity of Henry Smith (Worth Estate) applicable in the said Parish.
5. The AH Lloyd Charity

The Charity is administered by a Board of Trustees made up of 4 trustees nominated by the Parish Council and 3 Trustees co-opted by the Board of Trustees and a Clerk.  The current Board of Trustees comprises of the following:

The object of the charity is the relief either generally or individually of persons resident in the Parish of Bletchingley who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.  The Trustees apply the income of the charities for that purpose by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities or by way of donations or subscriptions to institutions or organisations that provide such items or services.  The only restriction in applying the income is that the Trustees shall not apply any part of the income directly in relief of rates, taxes or other public funds.
