East Surrey Museum events

As we start to gather again after the pandemic, the East Surrey Museum is so pleased to be putting on its first Exhibition of the new era.

We are delighted to invite members and supporters to join us for a special Coffee Morning and Grand Opening of the History of the Caterham Guards Barracks,

On Thursday 4th November

to enjoy looking at the illustrated history of the Guards Barracks and the many interesting and evocative artefacts from individuals who served there.

We are gathering between 10.30am and 12.30pm for a convivial morning with friends and do so hope you can come.

The exhibition will be opened by Dick Moran, who was the CEO of the Caterham Barracks Community Trust for 15 years.

 This is the first of our programme of Events for the winter, which will also include

* A celebratory Saturday opening during the Caterham Christmas Market  – 27th November – 10.30am til 5.00pm

* Our well-loved Christmas Coffee Morning, with ideas for stocking fillers plus a raffle

AND starting again in January, our monthly Thursday lunchtime talks, in the first of which we are setting Peter, our Curator, free to talk about the History of Recorded Sound, so lots of crackly music there, then!!

Please check the Friends of East Surrey Museum Newsletter, coming out soon, for dates and times for all of these, and more!

We look forward to seeing you at some or all of these.
