Bletchingley Village Primary are recruiting governors

Bletchingley Village Primary School are looking for people to join their Local Governing Committee. This is an opportunity to develop skills, help shape the school for the future, and make a valuable contribution to the community. As a governor you will be expected to attend 6 formal Local Governing Committee meetings each academic year as well as undertaking monitoring visits to the school, working on specific strategic projects and attending school events, assemblies etc.

Volunteers from any background with or without children, would be welcomed. Whilst a range of skills are needed to make the LGC fully effective (finance, legal, management and data analysis skills would be useful, but not essential), a willingness to challenge assumptions, promote innovation, and have the time to support the school through change are the most important. Training will be provided (face to face, remote online and/or interactive webinar sessions are available).

If you would like to find out about what is involved, please contact Lisa Thurston, Chair of the Local Governing Committee, either by email or via the school office:01883 743337
