William IV closure – Latest News update

The William IV was closed in September by the brewery. The Village needs all the support it can to save this local pub.  This is the last local non-gastro pub left in Bletchingley.

As of the end of November, it looks like the William IV has been put up for sale as a pub free hold or lease hold, so if there is anyone out there who is interested in running a pub and has the money to buy it outright please let Juliette know (contact details below).

Alternatively if you would be potentially interested in purchasing shares at a minimum share price of £500 would you also please let Juliette know, because if there is enough villagers who can contribute, it may be that a community pub can be set up.  Of course further details would be passed on prior to any committment for purchase of shares.

If you are able to help in any way please contact Juliette Cockell  at
