Christmas Market at St. Mary’s in Aid of the Church House Appeal.

Christmas Market
St. Mary the Virgin,
Bletchingley, RH1 4PD
Saturday, 2nd December
10.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

Join in the magic that is Christmas! This is our 10th year!

Our beautiful Norman church provides a unique backdrop for this event which is very popular with the local community and has good passing trade on the day. There will be a lovely variety of stalls selling that extra special gift for a loved one or treat yourself. There is so much to choose from: wooden toys, teddy bears, jewellery and fashion accessories, ladies’ ponchos, knitwear, handbags, hats, scarves, stone homeware and crystal jewellery, ceramics, silver, quality china, whimsical animal illustrations, greetings and Christmas cards, decorations, stockings and fillers, candles, hampers, hot choc sets, etc.

And, of course, the Christmas Market would not be complete without our delicious range of home-made jams and chutneys. Why not take a cake home for tea as there will be a delicious range of home-made cakes to choose from?  There will be a super Raffle and don’t miss the Tombola (for adults and children) which is always very popular.  This year sees the return of the popular second-hand bookstall (paperbacks only).

With the children in mind, there will be Face Painting and Name the Teddy Bear.

SANTA will popping in just after 10.15 a.m. until around mid-day. He can’t stay longer because as you know he is really busy at this time of year!

Not to disappoint, you will find the Christmas Café in the downstairs area of Church House nearby. Here, refreshments will be on offer throughout the day accompanied by a choice of yummy tray-bakes and delicious lunches!

Saturday is always a busy day in Bletchingley but ample free parking can be found in the Village Hall car park behind Lawrences Auctioneers which is just a short walk from the church.

Free entry for this event. E-mail: janine.marks@sky.com for further information.
