Haversham Estates enclosed this area some 2 years ago, so that the land could be rented out for grazing. Permissive footpaths were created around the enclosed area. Unfortunately, the fencing wire was deliberately cut, which enabled cattle to escape and in turn led the grazing tenant to decide not to put his animals on the land. This has now led to the land being completely enclosed.
A move has been started by some residents to apply to Surrey County Council for a declaration that the footpaths across the land are rights of way.
If any other parishioners wish to support this move, then please contact the Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org with an e mail address that will be passed on to the organisers.
