Tandridge District Council election results

No change in control after local elections

Tandridge-District-CouncilThere was no change in control after the Tandridge District Council elections on Thursday 5 May.

Of the 42 seats, Conservatives hold 33, Liberal Democrats 7 and there is 1 Independent and 1 Oxted & Limpsfield Residents’ Group councillor. The turnout of voters was 38.7%. The count was held on Thursday 5 May and Returning Officer and Chief Executive, Louise Round, declared all the results by 3am on Friday 6 May.

The Conservatives held the following seats:

  • Debbie Vickers (Con): Bletchingley & Nutfield
  • Harry Fitzgerald (Con): Burstow, Horne & Outwood
  • Eileen Black-Thomas (Con): Godstone
  • Michael Cooper (Con): Harestone
  • Elizabeth Parker (Con): Oxted South
  • Geoff Duck (Con): Queens Park
  • David Cooley (Con): Warlingham West
  • Keith Jecks (Con): Woldingham

Oxted and Limpsfield Residents’ Group gained:

  • Jackie Wren (OLRG): Oxted North & Tandridge

The Liberal Democrats held the following seats:

  • Chris Botten (LD): Portley
  • Jeremy Pursehouse (LD): Warlingham East, Chelsham & Farleigh
  • Caroline Warner (LD): Westway
  • David Lee (LD): Whyteleafe

And gained

  • Alun Jones (LD): Valley

Returning Officer Louise Round said: “I would like to thank all the staff who worked so hard to run such an efficient election, from those in the polling stations to those who worked at the count, as well as everyone else behind the scenes.”
