Bletchingley Village Fair

Thanks go out to the Bletchingley Village Fair Committee for a successful ‘Circus theme’ Village Fair held on the 28th of June 2009.

The Fair started with a ‘Camel led’ May Queen procession through the High Street followed by a trampoline show performed by some of our talented villagers. There was also the usual Hog Roast, Vintage Cars, Dog Show, Cream Tea’s and many local stalls hosted by villagers dressed as clowns, acrobats and strong men! The Boys V Girls Tug of War was entertaining and proved the end of the rope which broke twice! and last but not least there was ‘Jive Pony’ the highlight of the day’s entertainment which certainly emptied the beer tent!

In conclusion a great day out well received by villager’s young and old. Provisional information so far is that the fair made around £1,400 on the day which will be donated to local charities as well as help to fund the Annual Xmas Party for the elderly parishioners’ of Bletchingley.
