Bletchingley in Bloom SOS

daffodil1Since 2006, a small team continue to keep Bletchingley blooming. It is they who ensure that the Villages verges are bedecked with Daffodils in Spring and that the numerous flower beds they created around the Village remain attractive, floriferous and tidy.
The ‘In Bloom’ team, meet on the second Saturday of the month for up to two hours and maintain the numerous beds they have created – Rabies Heath Road, Queen’s Jubilee beds in Grange Meadow, Howard Cundey Corner, beds near the Red Lion, Village Sign bed – the bed near India Village, beds in front of the flats in the High Street and in season help to maintain the area surrounding Hevers pond in Outwood Lane, prune the Rosa Rugosa hedge near the Bletchingley Arms and the Photinia hedge in front of Brittens Cottages.
The team need support and would like to to hear from anyone who would like to join the team and make a contribution to this beautiful village of ours.  No horticultural experience is necessary.  Any enquiries to Pamela Cock on 01883 743171 or pamelacock@aol.com.
