LORDS – Lorry Incident Report Form

Many of you are aware of the problems with HGVs using the roads in and around Bletchingley and you may have heard of LORDS (Lorries off Rural Detours) campaign.  Please could all residents experiencing problems with HGV’s complete the form located in Parish Council/Other Documents/Lorry Incident Report Form (LORDS) or using the following link http://www.bletchingley.org.uk/miscdocuments.html and send it to the addresses requested.  Could you also please forward a copy to the Clerk of Bletchingley Parish Council so that the Council can keep a record of any problem areas.  It is hoped that these forms will help to convince Surrey County Council of the urgent need to set up a HGV Reporting Agency, which would then be able to monitor those hauliers who are using unsuitable roads as “through” routes or short-cuts and to warn them that they will be reported to VOSA, or to the police, if they are seen to be infringing weight-restricted or unsuitable roads.
