Looking for a Trader – Use Buy with Confidence

These days everyone is wary about employing a cowboy trader who may rip them off and do a bad job.  Now there is no need to worry, simply use the Buy With Confidence trader approval scheme to find a reputable trader.

Surrey County Council’s Trading Standards Service runs the scheme, and all the traders in the scheme have been rigorously vetted to ensure they are reliable, trustworthy, and competent and have good customer care standards.

Across the South East there are over 270 different trade types in the scheme and in excess of 1,200 individual companies, ranging from electricians and plumbers to security systems and IT services, in fact you are bound to find whatever you are looking for.  Within Surrey there are nearly 300 member companies across a range of services.

To find a trader look on the web site: where you can type in your postcode to find a trader near you, or look at the whole list to have a wider selection.

If you don’t have Internet access, just phone 01372 371666 and an advisor will tell you some trader names over the phone, or arrange for a list to be sent to you.

The scheme is growing all the time, and we are always looking to support reputable businesses in Surrey and welcome applications for membership.  If you are a trader and are interested in joining the scheme, just go to the website and apply on line, or alternatively, ring 01372 371666 and an advisor will arrange for an application form to be sent.
